Marching Band

Marching band is, by far, the most FUN band at MHS! During the 2000-01 season, the theme of the show was "Songs of Sailor and Sea" by Robert W. Smith. The band received a Superior rating at U of A Band Day and Marcos de Niza Tournament of Champions. For the first competition of the season, the band traveled to Riverside, California to compete at the Southwest Regional Tournament of Bands, where the received the "Sweepstakes Award" for top band in the division, and placed 3rd overall. They competed fiercely at ABODA State festival for their first year in Division I, and came away with a II+ rating. Way to go, Marching Band! As of yet, the show for the 2001-02 year has not been announced.
