Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble is the top group at Mesquite High School. It is a new group as of the 2000-01 school year and has had no competitions. 

For the ABODA Area Concert Festival on March 3rd and the Second Annual Pageant of Bands on March 8th, they performed:

• The Music Makers

• In a Gentle Rain

• Persis

These songs will be available on the Audio Page soon.  At the ABODA Area Concert Festival at Dobson High School on March 3rd, the Wind Ensemble received a Superior Rating and qualified for the ABODA State Concert Festival to be held in early May.

For the holiday concert on Thursday, December 14, they performed:

• Rhapsody for Hanukkah

• Greensleeves

• English Folk Song Suite

• Sleigh Ride

Wind Ensemble will be traveling to California in May with the Symphony Orchestra, also a new group to Mesquite High, to compete (and of course, sight-see.) Good luck!
